I sent a letter to my Congressman a few years ago when there was an epi-pen shortage and the letter I got back said he agreed with me about gun control. It wasn't even on the right topic! But in that form letter, I got the name and number of someone in his office and I followed up with that poor soul every week until I got them to help us. If they get enough letters on the same topic they'll pay attention because they want to get re-elected. Let's send this letter far and wide! Good luck everyone. We can do this.

As for public speaking, I can only recommend what worked for me… shadow work… understanding where it comes from.

Instead of trying to express things I myself am still confused about, let me share the things I know for sure worked for me:

All this to say, psychoanalysis didn’t work for me until now, because I didn’t understand the *meaning* of it, and what is the goal of it. All a result of the flaws in modernity. I don’t like to call it “Western” because it’s not as accurate as putting it in a timeline. But, luckily I found myself in the middle of the process thanks to psychedelics which I have done just out of a desire to get high, no therapeutic intention. But, it helped me find myself (I found myself lost tho), and realizing it’s not that I “lost my way” I’ve never been on the path, I was drifting aimlessly (in sleep mode/automatic mode).

Trying to confuse us about what it means “we are made in the image of god”
By focusing our attention on the Physical world, science’s goal was to make us forget our spiritual capabilities. Organized religion wanted us subservient! The idea that the Vatican owns our collective history in libraries no one is allowed to go in, is absurd. Like with money, we have allowed pieces of paper to become worthy of relinquishing our power to. Money doesn’t mean power, unless we give ours away for it. A robe doesn’t mean power, unless we relinquish ours voluntarily. And the same could be said about lab coats!

Everything you said here does that for me. 🙏 I intend to spend a good bit of time reflecting on these things. Thank you. I’ve been drawn (again recently) to the potential healing abilities of psychedelics but want to find a sitter to be with me and help me to integrate whatever may arise. Yes, Eben, Lipton, Jung…all in my personal library, too! Haven’t spent any real time with Dispenza, but will look at all you mentioned. My childhood was a bit empty and disconnected as well with fractured family. I grew up determined to have the picture perfect family for my kids where mom and dad stay together and everything is perfect. I agree that, generally speaking, politicians function not to express your power, but to absorb it. The fact that Bernie tended to get over half the other party's vote says to me that he's not like the rest.
Also, it's not how long a person's been in the government, it's how he/she stays there, and if it's by means of huge monetary contributions from those whose interests differ from those of the voters, it's a problem.
And unfortunately, that's usually how it is -- most elected officials serve their donors rather than their constituents. Bernie's been consistent about not accepting corrupt money. To me, that's significant.
I'm old enough to have seen enough half-baked opinionating based on not bothering to understand the players or their positions, and I'm not suited to providing remedial education.
