As a career researcher in a non-medical but supposedly hard science field; I can tell you it isn’t just the medical system. Credentialism and ideology > real evidence have become the SOP of the new religion of scientism. As the saying goes in my field, “show me a graduate professor and I’ll show you a prostitute”.
What can one say. It is horrific. Making a big enough film to show what is going on and apparently has been going on for years and years, will be very difficult.
The NHS at least tries to be free of such carryons. Doesn't it? Multi disciplinary teams must help.
For what it's worth, I think the problem inside the NHS may be just as bad as the United States, if not worse, because of the centralised nature of it. People inside are well meaning, but given the scale and power of the force that's trying to privatise and control all healthcare, they don't stand a chance. We don't have Piere Kory type figures in the UK, because the majority of our doctors are working directly for the NHS and following NHS guidelines. There's much less room to be independent, and that stimulates a greater level of group-think and compliance.
We've had UK doctors speak out, but far far fewer than there have been in the United States.
